ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED
Jones—Houston.—The engagement is announced " between Signaller Jean Lorraine, W.A.A.C., only daugther of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Houston, Campbell Road, Green Lane, and Trooper Thomas Semmells, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Jones, of Manukau Road, Auckland.
When soup is over-salted, add a large potato, and cook for 15 minutes longer. The potato, having absorbed most of the salt, can then be removed.
