AGRICULTURAL COURSES

FOR MEN IN THE SERVICES Short agricultural courses for soldiers at Canterbury Agricultural College were outlined by the director, Professor E. R. Hudson, at a meeting of the board of governors in Christchurch on Tuesday. Professor Hudson said it was proposed to have week-end courses for some and longer courses for others. Arrangements had also been made for the college staff to prepare a number of hand books on various aspdcts of farming. As far as charges were concerned, he said, these would be only nominal.

The question of instructional fees was discussed at length, and it was finally decided not to charge fees in the meantime, but that the position should be reviewed if the growth of the scheme warranted it.
