BUSINESS RESUMES BUYERS DOMINATE MARKET Only three sales were put through at the first two calls when the Auckland Stock Exchange re-opened to-day after the summer recess of two and a-half weeks. Emperor Mines recorded a rise of 6d, and there was a similar advance in Dominion Breweries. Quotations all round appeared firm on last year's closing rates, with a considerable number of advances.
