AIR SUCCESSES OVER BURMA

British Official' Wireless Rec. 11.30 aim. RUGBY, Jail. 8. A joint Indian communique reports: "R.A.F. heavy bombers attacked the port of Akyab, in. Burma, and other objectives in the vicinity last night. A number of heavy bombs were dropped with good results, and several fires were seen at Akyab as the bombers left. "During offensive patrols yesterday our aircraft sank four supply sampans south of Akyab and damaged others. They attacked oil installations, near Chauk. Rathedaung, north of Akyab, was bombed by Blenheims, escorted by fighters. None of our aircraft is missing.
