W.E.A. SUMMER SCHOOL
For the first time in its 15 years of existence, the annual summer school of the Workers' Educational Association is being held in Auckland. The previous locations were Pukekohe, Paerata and Hunua. The hostel of the Mount Albert Grammar School has been taken for a week, and of the 80 men and women attending 45 are living in. The students themselves wash the dishes, wait at tables, and perform other duties.
The chairman of the summer school committee, Mr. Mervyn Lusty, said to-day that the ages of the students ranged from 20 to 70, and they included professional men, school teachers, craftsmen and farmers. The programme consisted of morning, afternoon and evening lectures and discussions
