SMUTS' NEW SLOGAN

"FETCH OUR BOYS FROM ITALY" Rec. 12.30. JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 13 General Smut's slogan, "I am going to fetch our boys from Italy," has swept South Africa. A crosssection of opinion in Durban, Capetown and Johannesburg, shows that the army is eager to help Genera! Smuts to bring hack their comrades from Italian prison camps.

The Johannesburg Sunday Times, in a leading article, says: "Many are so eager to serve in Europe that we understand officers and men in North Africa, including members of the First Division have asked General Smuts to take the action he announced."
