DESTROYING TYRES
CARELESS TRUCK DRIVERS
Fast driving and hard brakeing by truck drivers was stated at the Automobile Association meeting last evening to be speeding up the destruction of tyres. The North Island Motor Union will seek action by the Transport Department in cases of careless driving of trucks.
New tyres for the Automobile Association's patrol cars will be on the priority list when the present tyres are worn out, stated Mr F G r arrell, president of the association" out permits for the retreading and recapping of private car tyres would not be issued.
