C. Pevvey. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning when Linton Rayner Bolt, aged 17, and Maurice McMillan, aged 20. were charged with making purchases of petrol of a kind not authorised by the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations. Each was fined £2. The police stated that Bolt tendered a number 19 coupon which had been altered by a stamp to number 1,8. to purchase petrol. McMillen had tendered the correct coupons, but the stamp on them had been forged. McMillan had said hc purchased the coupons at 2/ each from an unknown soldier.
