DR. J. D. C. DUNCAN DEAD
BALXEULOGIST AT KOTOKLA
The death occurred while spending week-end at Tauranga of Dr. J. D. Campbell Duncan. Government balneologist at Jtotorur. for the past 23 years. Dr. Duncan was burn in Christehurch in 1881, and graduated from Edinburgh University with the degrees of M 8.. Ch.B. Immediatelv prior to the Great War. be was resident medical officcr at Hanmer Springs.
Dr. Duncan served with the New Zealand Expeditionai v Force in Egypt, France and England, and before he returned to New Zealand studied the latest memods in balneology at Bath. He was appointed OV i e di n o nont , bal pe°logist at Rotorua in 1919 and gained a high reputation in the practice of physiotherapeutics. "
Di, Duncan was a past president of the Auckland Societv of \rt< and was awarded the Bledisloe I'andscape Medal in 1931.
