The survey was made possible by i publication in Washington of m 'pamphlet bv the OJTicc of War Infer - ! mation. in which that agency told "the thousand million living in the I'nited Nations that 'there is no other road to freedom" but by 'strength of arm- and lighting spirit, i Entitling the pamphlet.._ •'The i Thousand Million. the OAN I- al?o I warned the Axi>_ countries: "\\ e arc | determined to win this war with the | overwhelming might of our comI bined strength—and thereafter to I establish a new ase .if freedom for jail men on this earth. The navy, before Pearl Harbour, had more than -100.000 men. and it undoubtedly has grown. Together, the figures shov that the United Nations have more than 15.000.000 under arms, with miU.'nns more waiting to take up the fight.
