WOMAN THIEF
SENTENCE OF 12 MONTHS
A Maori woman. Martha Tainui, nged 68, appeared before Mr. J. h' Lux ford, S.M., in the Police Court this morning and pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing on July 25. 42 sheets. 21 pillow cases and 12 towels, of a total value of £47 17/, the properly of Percy Norman Wright.
I his woman is one of the bestknown characters in New Zealand as tar as the police are concerned" said Senior-Detective Walsh.
