. MARKET REMAINS STEADY A firm tone prevailed on the Auckland ; Stock Exchange to-day, with buyers conl siderably outnumbering sellers. Banks of New Zealand were sought at £2, the , late sale price, holders asking 6d more. Some leading industrials had an improved demand in the absence of supplies. The ■ gilt-edged market was quiet and firm.
