CALLS TO CAMP

NO. 2 BOARD APPEALS Applications for exemption from military service and release from camp of reservists were dealt with at a sitting of the No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board. Mr. H. A. Anderson presided. An adjournment sine die was granted in respect of appeals on behalf of the following reservists: — Thomas F. H. Rowland (James Hardie Co. Pty., Ltd.); Malcolm M. Nicholson (W. F. Tucker and Co.); John William McKenzie (Wilkenson, Campbell, Christmas and White). Appeals on behalf of the following reservists were adjourned to a later date: —C. L. Bickerton (Winstone, Ltd.), William Clement Smith (Paine Bros., Ltd.). The appeal of John Francis Hatton for exemption from service overseas was adjourned to a later date. The release from camp of the following reservists was recommended: Daniel Patrick Dunne and Clarence William Bender (appeal by Shipbuilders, Ltd.), Ernest Benjamin Barnett and Reginald Allen Trainer (New Zealand Glass Manufacturing Co., Ltd.), Henry Spears Parsons. In connection with an application by the Auckland Hospital Board for the release of Stanley George Woodcock from camp, the board adjourned the matter for a review in three months. The board confirmed the release from camp of L. P. Ketter and Raymond William Day (Shipbuilders. Ltd.).
