GIBRALTAR ACTIVITY
Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 1. A message from Algeciras, Spain, states that two submarines have been reported in the Straits of Gibraltar. Destroyers and numerous launches caused turmoil in the Straits with depth-charges. Seaplanes are patrolling a convoy of 20 ships which are ready to leave Gibraltar, where the battleship Malaya and five destroyers are in the harbour.
