Rundsledt Expected Allied Invasion TROOPS RUSHED TO SCENE Rec. 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 1. Von Rundstedt, head of the Nazi force in occupied France, believed that the Dieppe raid was the opening move of a full-scale British Continental invasion, according to travellers reaching Stockholm from Paris. Von Rundstedt rushed 100.000 German troops to the spot by train, lorry and bus to combat the landm One informant described how hundreds of troops, mostly youths and elderly territorials, were poured from Paris barracks into lorries for Dieppe.

Rec. 2 p.i". RUGSY, Oct. 1. In the first three years of the war 47.305 civilians were killed and 55,658 injured and detained in hospitals through air raids in the United Kingdom, Mr. Morrison stated m tne House of Commons. Figures for Greater London were 20,110 killed and 20,071 injured.
