BIRTH CONTROL
"One of Eleven Children" agrees that motherhood is a wonderful heritage. However; she states that this wonderful privilege should not be abused, and then writes in favour of birth control. Surely this is a contradiction. Is not a person who argues for what is in reality munla abusing this God-given prerogatiw of motherhood? Who are we to sty whether or not a child should live* What amazing presumptuousness « the part of man! Who is he, indeed, to take upon himself the responsibility of such a decision, a which undoubtedly belongs to God alone. Birth control, it is argued, is solely in defence of the mother, yet self-defence can only be again*' a wilful aggressor. Certainly tie child is no wilful aggressor; a aggressor perhaps, but not a wflfcl one. Motherhood is a beaitifal thing, and birth control is not, ad can never be anything but a dilution of the noble ideals every wobe should have. A.M.GP.
