Captain C. V. Stanich, Auckland Waterfront Controller, returned from the south this morning. Mr. F. Maurice Clarke, manager of Union Airways, Limited, left for Wellington by plane this morning. Mr. L. O. H. Tripp, of Wellington has been appointed an additional trustee of the War Relief Association. Professor W. Riddet, of Massey College, has returned south after visiting Auckland. Mr. F. Scott Miller, travelling repairs superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company, left for Wellington to-day, Mr. F G. Farrell, president of the Automobile Association (Auckland) returned this morning from Wellington, where he attended a meeting of the North Island Motor Union. Captain S. K. Siddells has tendered his resignation as Mayor of Pahiatua as his military duties will keep him period town for an ind efinite Group Captain J. L.
