EARLIER RELEASE

COUPON ALLOCATIONS CLOTHES AND FOOTWEAR iO.( .) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Arrangements are being made for an earlier release by about a month or six weeks of the second haltyear's allocation of M coupons for clothing and footwear, according to a statement by the Rationing Controller, Mr. J. E. Thomas. The rationing began on May 28 on the basis of 52 M coupons for 12 months, only 26 of these to be redeemable in the first six months, which end on November 30. The earlier release, however, does not mean that the year's allocation is to be increased. Coupons still held for the first period of the vear will, of course, be redeemable after November 30.

The actual date when the coupons wdl be released will be announced shortly.
