AGE FOR OVERSEAS

You are to be complimented on the publication of your leader re the age at which men can be sent overseas. The question is an urgent one and one that Parliament should answer and give a definite statement. One wonders whether we are under martial law. Who is ruling this country, Parliament or the army? The statement made by Mr. Jones some time ago left a loophole. He said that at present the Government had no intention of sending anyone under the age of 21 overseas. Surely he did not mean that at some future date these boys might be sent away. It is the clear duty of the Government to settle the matter. Th» parents of these lads want to know. It is their right to kndw the definite intention of the Government.
