OBITUARY

MR. F. P. J- FUNN

The death has occurred of Mr. Frank Peter John Flinn, aged 75, at his residence, Hemi Street, Devonport. Mr. Flinn was a former inspector of fisheries in Auckland. Born on Great Barrier Island, he owned a cutter, on which as a young man he carried firewood to the city. As a member of survey parties under the Lands Department, and later as inspector of fisheries, Mr. Flinn gained an intimate knowledge of this country and its coastal waters. He was interested in all sports, and during 10 years spent at Russell he took a keen paHt in deep-sea fishing. He is survived by his wife.
