"PENNANTS" ARE OUT!
The long arm of security reached recently into an Auckland hotel bar to prove with what care the authorities are guarding against the giving away of any information which might be of value to the enemy. In this case the object of official attention was a wall display of "pennants"—representing a wide variety of military units and camps. The pennants had been given to the licensee as mementoes by customerfriends who had gone overseas. The collection was the object of much curiosity until the licensee was recently ordered to remove them from the wall "for security reasons." *■■■■■*■■■■*■■■mmmmmmmmmaM
