ARMY EDUCATION
URGENCY EMPHASISED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Council of Adult Education has decided to forward a resolution to the Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, and the Minister of Defence. Mr. Jones, drawing attention to the urgent necessity of establishing a comprehensive scheme of general education in the Services with a view to maintaining and developing the morale of officers and men and of the country as a whole. "Information received from all parts of New Zealand," says the resolution, "convinces the council that there is a feeling of great unrest developing. due to the fact that all fit men between the ages of IS and 30 who are compulsorily serving in the forces are thereby having their tutures jeopardised bv being deprived of ncrmal cultural facilities, including adult education classes, during the most critical period of their lives."
