APPEALS DISMISSED

CASE OF BREWERS IX ARMY (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The Manpower Committee, in reserved decisions. dismissed the appeals of New Zealand Breweries, Limited, for two brewers, A. B. Duncan and A. C. Keell. When the committee heard the appeals, which were supported by the Director of National Service, Mr. J. S. Hunter, it was stated that the firm would have to close one, and perhaps two, of its branches if it was deprived of the services of these two men.
