Representations have -been made to the Minister of Marketing, Mr. Barclay, by the Dairy Industry Council on behalf of farmers, who consider the 5 per cent increase in wages to award workers should be extended to primary producers.
I\lr. A. J. Murdoch, of Whangarei, northern ward member of the board, stated that the council had waited on the Minister - and presented a memorandum regarding provision for increasing the prices for butter and cheese. This memorandum fs being considered by-Cabinet, and an early decision is * expected by - the council.
