DIVIDENDS PROPOSED

The directors of the Farmers' Trading Company, Ltd., at a meeting to-day, decided to pay, on May 30, to holders of A and B preference shares, the half-yearly dividend at the rate of 7 per cent per annum, lees the 20 per cent statutory deduction, making 5 3-5 per cent. Holders of C preference shares will receive on the same date the half-yearly dividend at the rate of 5 per cent per annum. The Mosgiel Factory Co., Ltd., is paying an unchanged interim dividend of 4 per cent for the half-year ended April 6.— P.A. William Cable and Co.. Ltd.. advise that the dividend on preference shares for the half-year ended March 31, at the rate of 7 per cent per annum, will be paid on May 1. No deduction will be made for security taxes. The payment of this tax applies to this distribution only and is made without committal as to future dividend payments.
