POSITION OF CHAIRMAN
MR. J. W. WATSON NOMINATED
The trustees of Carlaw Park have announced that Mr. J. W. Watson, J.P., has been nominated for the chairmanship of the Auckland Rugby League Control Board in succession to Mr. Grey Campbell, who is not available owing to business and health reasons.
Mr. Watson, who is manager and a director of Heards, Limited, has been a keen supporter of Rugby League for many years. He was actively associated with the Manukau Club and of late years has been a member of the New Zealand Rugby League Council, representing the Wellington League. Mr. Watson has also been a playing member of the Akarana Golf Club for seven years.
. Mr. Grey Campbell has been nominated as president by Mr. J. A. Lee the retiring president.
