TOTAL NOW EXCEEDS 5600 (P A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Prisoner of War Inquiry Office advises that the number of prisoners on the files in Wellington is 5618, of whom 5445 are army, 121 air force, 26 merchant seamen and civilians, six navy and 20 miscellaneous. It is learned from Geneva that prisoners in Italy have not yet received numbers. The Foreign Office in Tokyo has! agreed to recognu : Dr. Paravacini as the International Red Cross delegate to Japan. j Next-of-kin are advised that it is' essential to address 'otters clearly I in block leUens. 2*
