United States Bases In North Of Ireland WORK FAR ADVANCED LONDON, Jan. 7. Preparations are advanced, says the Daily Mail, for the reception of United States naval, air and army forces in Britain. American technicians for months have been equipping the great base at Ulster, which the Americans christened Little America. This base was built chiefiV for the reception of lease-or-lend supplies, but it possesses elaborate facilities for military, air and naval forces. The location of two bases in Scotland is secret, but it is believed they are equipped for a iargfl air force. In his speech to Congress President Hoosevel; said American forces would take their stations in the British Isles, which constituted a bastion in the struggle.
