Strong British Force Over * Germany LARGE FIRES AX HAMBURG Rec. 11 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 1. It is learned that strong forces of the British Bomber Command attacked German ports last night. The heaviest attack was against Hamburg, where over 150 tons of bombs were dropped in bright moonlight. Large fires were left burning. A powerful force also attacked Emden. Objectives at Bren\ haven, Wilhelmshaven, Kiel and iAibeck were also bombed, and mines were laid in enemy waters. Nineteen planes are missing. The German news agency stated that British bombers flew over north Germany lasc night and dropped bombs on residential districts, damaging many houses. Several people were killed and injured.
