A considerable number of Germans are trapped on the tongue of land westward of Taganrog, where they are confronted with the difficult task. of crossing a narrow inlet to avoid isolation and capture. The Moscow radio declared that tne Germans have brought up several divisions in an effort to capture an important point on one of the southern sectors of the Karelian front, where the fighting is fiercer every day.
