AIR FORCE PROMOTIONS
Eric Grant, a prominent athlete and Rugby footballer, formerly a master at Pukekohe Technical High School, has been promoted to pilotofficer in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. He has represented Poverty Bay, North Auckland and South Auckland on the football field. Advice has been received by Dr. and Mrs. C. Campbell Jenkins, Manurewa, that their son Ross Hamilton Jenkins has been promoted pilot-officer. He was educated at the Manurewa school and Auckland Grammar School This young officer, who is 24 years of age, was employed by the National Trading Company before enlistment. He completed his training in Canada and is now with the Fighter Command in England.
Mrs. A. H. Pocock, of Portland, has received advice that her son D'Arcy C. M. Ducker has been commissioned pilot-officer in Canada. A brother, Corporal Leslie Ducker, who left with the First Echelon, is a prisoner of war in Germany.
