ONEHUNGA RAID

GAMING HOUSE CHARGES

As the result of a police raid yesterday afternoon at Onehunga, Lilian Church and Norman Charles Church were charged before Messrs. J. E. Green and J. E. Cowell, J.P.'s, with using their premises in Queen Street, Onehunga, as a common gaming house. Betty Joyce Church was charged with assisting in the management of the same. John Thomas Brady was charged with carrying on the business of a bookmaker.

All the defendants were remanded to appear in the Magistrate's Court at Onehunga on Monday next. Bail in the sum of £50 was allowed in each case.
