MORE PETROL REQUEST
HON. W. PERRY'S CRITICISM (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The recent request for more petrol for holiday motorists was described as a "piece of infernal impudence" by the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., president of the Returned Services' Association, when addressing the Makara Battalion of the Home Guard. Mr. Perry said that such people did not seem to realise or care that on the outcome of the present struggle depended the survival of Christianity. They should help to defend it by forgoing that extra petrol.
