Tour Of Allied Pacific Bases Completed AVIATION PROBLEMS STUDIED Rec. 1 p.m. SYDNEY, this day. Air Commodore R. V. Goddard, Chief of the Air Staff designate of New Zealand, has just completed a tour of the Royal Australian Air Force and Australian aviation interests before taking up his new duties. His journey to New Zealand has taken him through the Pacific bases of the American, British and Netherlands forces, as well as the principal centres of the Empire air training scheme in Canada and Australia.

Air Commodore Goddard stated that the purpose of his tour was to allow him to make contacts and appreciate in fuller perspective the principal air problems of New Zealand in relation to the country's strategic policy, requirements and resources.
