•„ \?£' ety c °l°ur were dominant notes in Peep-Show, a pantomime presented before a fairly large attendance in -.he concert chamber of the Town' Hall by the pupils of the Valeska School of Dancing. Directed by the princiDal Madame Valeska. the performers nrSy of whom were young children, gave a very attractive exhibition of dancirtr which earned the warm applause of the audience. Music was supplied by Walter Smith's Aloha Orchestra, of about 14 Hawaiian instruments. Mrs. Gwen KUlip was the accompanist. A talented performance of the Prince's solo dance, from "Swan Lake," was given by Bryan Ashbridge, holder of elementary, intermediate, advanced and solo s=>al awards in the Royal Academy of Dancing Another excellent effort was that of the Three Marvels—Yvonne de Baugh, Russell Middlebrook and Ces Tucker who recently presented an act in one of the main city theatres. The pantomime will be presented again to-night. Winners of the school dancing championships for 1941 were:—Senior cud: Creina Gee 1, Yvonne de Baugh 2. Junior cup: Nyra Davis 1, Betty Hilton 2, Junior medal: Pattie Hilton. The trophies were presented during the evening.
