U.S. TANK OUTPUT

GOAL NOW IN SIGHT

Land Dreadnoughts May Be

Mass-produced United Press Association.—Copyright. Rec. 1 p.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 26. United States tank production has already outstripped Britain's, said an Office of Production Management official. The United States goal of a yearly output of 33,600 tanks was rapidly being reached. At least half the output is being regularly rushed to the battle lines, the Empire forces receiving most of the medium vehicles, while Russia is getting fast light tanks. The new American production schedule calls for 2000 32-ton medium tanks and 800 13-ton light tanks monthly. The army is now testing a 55-ton land dreadnought, which may be mass-produced if successful.
