Chief Stipendiary Appeals

Suspension Of C. B. Goulsbro

The chief stipendiary steward, Mr. H. T. C. Gomer, has appealed against the penalty imposed by the judicial committee of the Waikato Racing Club on the successful apprentice jockey, C. B. Goulsbro, for interference during the running of the second division of the Hautapu Handicap at Te Rapa on November 15.

Goulsbro was adjudged guilty of causing interference to Sweet Nothing and Beau Rock and was suspended for the second day of the meeting.

Mr. Gomer thought the punishment did not fit the offence and wrote to the NewZealand Racing Conference about the matter.

The conference has now referred the appeal to the district committee of the Auckland Racing Club, and it will be heard on Tuesday next.
