POST WAR PROBLEMS In an address at the luncheon of the women's committee of the Federal Union movement, held in the Milne and Choyce reception hall, Mr. H. R. Rodwell spoke of some of the economio aspects of international co-operation in postwar settlement. Mrs. Hugh Duthie, convener of the committee, oresided Indicating the trend toward a national development, Mr. Rodwell outlined the fundamental changes that had taken place in the last 20 years. The two main reasons at the root of this national development, he said, were the population trend and the changes in the structure of industry. The significant economic aspects of these changes were explained bv the speaker, who also outlined the factors which led to the depression of 1931. He concluded by giving logical reasons why Federal Union was the only system which would ensure co-operation between the democratic countries of the world.
