GAIN IN X.Z. BREWERIES Further improvement in Australian securities took place on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, while the tone for Dominion issues continued very firm. Broken Hill Proprietaries were fractionally stronger and offers were raised for Colonial Sugars. New Zealand Breweries sold at £1 17/, representing a gain of 1/ since the beginning of the month. Seller* were again scarce in the Government loan market. There was no late call this afternoon owing to the annual golf match among members of the Exchange.
