STUDENTS FOR CAMP
DIVISION AMONG UNITS
New arrangements for the three months' training to be carried out by students attending the Auckland University College and the Auckland Teachers' Training College have been made by northern military district headquarters as the result of a larger number desiring to complete the period so that they could attend the first term.
In consequence the 230 students will now not be posted to the 3rd Battalion, Auckland Regiment, for training at Rotorua as from December 1. The men concerned are being divided among a number of units and all will leave for camp on Monday. In the case of 40 posted to the Ist Composite Company, Army Service Corps, these men will live at their homes while training at Waikaraka Park. The number to undergo training with other units are:—7o to the Ist Field Regiment, at Ngaruawahia; 20 to the Ist Signal Company, at Avondale; 20 to the Ist Field Company, New Zealand Engineers, at Avondale; 40 to the Ist Battalion, Auckland Regiment, at Avondale; 20 to the Auckland detachment of the Ist New Zealand Scottish Regiment, at Ngaruawahia; 20 to the Ist Field Ambulance, at Ngaruawahia.
All eligible secondary school pupils leaving school this year with the intention of attending the University are to be sent to camp on January 17. They will be attached to the units mentioned ahove with the exception of the Ist Field Company of Engineers and with the addition of the Ist Reserve Mechanical Transport Companv.
