WOMEN'S INTERESTS
DOMINION CONFERENCE
N.Z. WOMAN'S WEEKLY
The tremendous scope and the wide variety of interests that are being covered by the interim conference of the Dominion Reconstruction Group, are described in this weeks issue of the N.Z. Woman's Weekly. Among the subjects that will engage the attention of the group are physical well-being and health, women's interests and national nutrition, economics, industry and commerce, national efficiency international relationships and world reconstruction. In addition there will be discussions on agriculture, education youth activities and finance. Sunday, the final day of the conference, will be devoted to spiritual development and mental and moral advancement. The conference realising the great need for simple spiritual faith and the application of tne laws of humanitarianism, justice and faith as the only possible basis for post war reconstruction urges that simple spiritual principles be taught both at home and in the schools. It is felt that no time must be lost in re-educating the people to these sound principles and the conference is urging the application of them to daily life. The issue contains an interesting article on the work being done by the Plunket Society, and points out that this important work must not be aliowed to suffer neglect on account of the more pressing needs of wartime.
Instructions are given for making a cute sealyham dog for a child's toy and there are the usual short stories and there are the usual bright short stones and several free patterns.
