ALMOST COMPLETED

BULLER GORGE RAILWAY (P.A.) WESTPORT, Monday. Arrangements were completed today for the ceremony on Tuesday of next week of driving the last spike in the Buller Gorge railway, completing the connection between Westport and Reefton, thence joining with the main railway system of the South Island.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, and the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Armstrong, will arrive by aeroplane for the ceremony in the morning, leaving on the return in the afternoon. The Minister of Labour, Mr. Webb, and the Minister of Railways, Mr. Semple. will arrive earlier and deliver public addresses on Monday evening.

About 200 people are expected to go b}- train from Reefton and members of local bodies on the West Coast and other representative people will also be present in large numbers.
