VEGETABLE PRICES' INQUIRY
Statements made bv Auckland retailers' representatives at the Price Tribunal show—if true —that uneconomic and chaotic methods prevail in vegetable production and marketing. Co-operation in many spheres is increasingly advocated and consideration should be given to the formation of economic co-opera-tion associations in production and distribution of the essentials of economic life. Great Britain has successful organisations: they should be set up in New Zealand as pari of the rehabilitation policy, for cooperation has moral and utilitarian values highly necessary in the solution of post-war problems Trades union organisations and social welfare bodies should consider and implement co-opera tion. This beneficial policy would replace weird, bizarre, currenev changes, etc . now prevalentlv advocated ni-:c,. w blaitj.
