r A LONDON kid was evacuated to f *» a country house owned by Lord ■} and Lady Posh. The first morninp 1 the lad was called for breakfast ho i was taken along by the butler and *■ shown into a very big room with a i very long table in it. The butler sat him on a seat half- - way down the table—and then went " out. After a while the butler opened 1 the door. Lord Posh came In. Rut- • ler helped him into chair at top of ! table. 5 "Good morning, Perkins." "Good morning, me lord." Butler went out. Butler came back with paper. "The Tames, me lord." Butler went out. Butler came back with Lady Posh. Helped her into chair at bottom of table. "Good morning. Perkins." "Good morning, me ladv." Butler went out. Butler came back with letters. "The post, me lady." Butler went out. Lady Posh rang bell. Butler came in. "Three letters for his lordship, Perkins." Butler took letters, walked down table, and handed them to Lord Posh. - ' "Letters, me lord." "Thank you. Perkins." The kid couldn't stand it any longer, and he shouted: "Blimey! When are we going to get some breakfast?" There was an awful silence. Then Lord Posh got out of his chair and walked round to the kid. He held out his hand and said: "Congratulations, my boy! I've been wanting to say that for the last 30 years!" -i __
