MISSING SCHOOLBOYS

STILL, NO TRACE

There is still no trace of the two 14-year-old schoolboys who have been missing from their homes in Mount Eden since 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The boys are Clive George Cooper, of 1, Stokes Road, and John More McCombe, of 10, Eglinton Avenue.

It was reported from Titirangi yesterday that two boys on bicycles had been seen there on Tuesday, but Mr. \V. G. Cooper, father of one of the boys, said this morning that he oid not think the boys had gone to the Waitakeres. He had been talking to children in the neighbourhood of the lads' homes and they said the boys had talked of riding through to see the Waitomo Caves and the King Country, and then going on through to Wellington. The boy McCombe drew £20 from his banking account and Cooper £9, thereby closing the accounts.

A visit to Murlwal was made yesterday by Mr. Cooper, in company with the police. However, the two boys camping there were not the lads sought. When the boys set out on their bicycles they said they were going to a picture theatre in the city.
