ANOTHER OPPONENT FOR VIC CALTAUX
The Auckland Boxing Association expects to stage a double bill professional ] programme on Monday week with Jack j Davis, of Hastings, and Vic Caltaux, of Auckland, for the main bout. It should provide a slogging match, as Davis is a rugged hard hitter more suited than most opponents for the all-in tactics of Caltaux. The supporting professional bout will be an eight-rounder between Ken Reid, of Eltham, and Bert McKay, of Auckland. Reid recently gave a promising exhibition j against Henry Robertson until his eye was . opened and the bout had to be stopped. The amateur bouts have been specially arranged as a work-out for lads who have championship aspirations. They are as follows:—R. Firth "(Leys) v. A. G. Brear (Fire Brigade); T. Dodd (Te Awamutu) v. R. Brown (Leys); D. Hendry (Waihi) y. T. Brown (Leys); C. Brown (Fire Brigade) v. K. Wells (Facoory); C. Worth (Fire Brigade), v. O. Jackson (Otahuhu).
