PEDESTRIANS INJURED
Knocked down by motor cars during the week-end, two persons received minor injuries and one was admitted to the Auckland Hospital A fracture of the ankle was suffered by Mr. Antonio Varella, aged 61 a widower of 39, Spring Street, Onenunga, when he was struck by a car while crossing the road at the intersection of Queen Street and Welleslev Street West, shortly after 6.30 last night. He was admitted to hospital Knocked down by a taxi in Manukaii Road, Royal Oak, shortlv before midnight on Saturday, Mrs. Marv Alice Carter, of 12, Mount Sman Road, Onehunga, was able to go home after receiving medical treatment '
