CITY EGG PRICES
TIME FOR PRESERVING
On Monday eggs will be cheaper than at any other time of the year,! and pulping and preserving for next| winter's use by bakers, pastrycooks and housewives has already begun. No further reduction can be looked for this season, it was officially stated to-day. The "spring flush" Iseason for laving will extend until I early October, when prices will begin jto rise again.
i A further reduction of 3d a dozen jfor standard grade has been authorised by the Auckland Egg Marketling Committee and the Internal
Marketing Department, working in conjunction with the Price Tribunal, and the following wholesale prices| will operate as from Monday: Heavy! hen eggs, 1/7J; standard hen eggs,! 1/6J; medium hen eggs, 1/41; pullet,! 1/11; standard duck eggs, 1/61;. medium duck eggs, 1/4*; small duck eggs, 1/IJ.
