LABOUR CANDIDATE

MR. SAYEGH FOR GREY LYNN It is announced that the selection ballot for the Labour candidate for the Grey Lynn electorate has been won by Mr. J. Sayegh. Mr. Sayegh is a member of the Hospital Board and the Harbour Board, and at the recent local elections stood for Mayor, but was unsuccessful. He has been a member of the Labour party for over 20 years. The seat is at present held by Mr. J. A. Lee (Democratic Labour), who won the Grey Lynn seat for the Labour party.
