LEAGUE FOOTBALL

An spplication from the West Coast to South Auckl&nd. for a League' football match to be played at Greymouth. was considered at a special meeting of the control board of the South Auckland Rugby League held at Huntly last evening. It was decided to defer the matter until the time was more opportune. The view taken by the board was that It would be a mistake to take players away"from work for about a week while the war was on.
